Hi guys, I’m new here.
I’m coming from a Haskell background, I was looking for a nice front-end framework to develop a small web application. I found PureScript and I’m quite happy with it!
I’m still navigating the language and community. Is this the right channel?
Cheers
Hello,
you’ll probably find little TypeScript content here.
But since you are coming from Haskell you might have found something even better
Welcome
That was an (unfortunate) typo, it’s corrected
In this case: Yes this is a great place to discuss this great language
So far I find Purescript very pleasant and I’m impressed by its capacity.
I was looking for a language that compiles to Javascript or WASM. It seems the community is small, but it’s OK for me. Small communities are often more welcoming to newcomers than bigger ones!
One problem I see is the sparse documentation. It took me quite some fiddling to work with some libraries.
Here’s a good place to start
Hey, welcome to the TypeScript uhhh PureScript community!
On a side-note, I find Google often tries to correct PureScript → TypeScript, which is quite frustrating! I hope one day it’ll get the hint and learn that PureScript exists
